Nederland HS Soccer team has one more game

The Nederland High School soccer team played two home games and one away game in the past week and lost all three. They have only one more game in the season, an away Mile High League game against Ridgeview Academy on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Nederland traveled to Union Colony on Tuesday, Oct. 8 and lost a close, hard-fought game, 0-1.
On Thursday, 10/10 the Panthers hosted Denver Christian who went home with a 3-1 win. Nederland scored in the second half. Senior defensive player Luke Harrison was named Player of the Game for making the first goal of his high school career.
On Saturday, Nederland hosted the Estes Park Bobcats in their Homecoming game. Estes Park squeezed out a 1-0 win. The Player of the Game was Japhy Sanchez who stepped up big in his new role at center back.
It was an emotional time for the soccer seniors, 10 of them, who have played together throughout their Nederland school years. The seniors are: Sam Churches, Japhy Sanchez, Jacob Aguilar, Luke Harrison, Gunner Kinsey, Diego Lopez, Noah Thatcher, TJ Bolt and Ian Hastings. Flowers were given to each of the boys’ parents at half time.
