BOULDER, Colo.– The final open house to view the U.S. Forest Service Rollinsville Administrative Site will be held Saturday, Oct. 26 from noon to 3 p.m.
The U.S. Forest Service 36-acre parcel and improvements located at 835 County Road 16 (Rollins Pass Road) Rollinsville, Colo., were put online for sale through public auction on Aug. 16, 2013. The Rollinsville Administrative Site was formerly used as a Boulder Ranger District work center and includes two residence facilities, one garage, one shed and a pump house. The work center parcel and improvements are no longer needed by the District for operational purposes and are being sold as one item.
The property is bordered by the Roosevelt National Forest with easy access to Colorado Highway 119 and located minutes from Nederland, Eldora Mountain Resort and Boulder. Wildlife, natural vegetation and hiking trails are abundant in the area. Funds from the sale of this excess property will be used to support facility maintenance and construction needs for the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland. Federal authority for the real estate sale was established by the Forest Service Facility Realignment and Enhancement Act of 2005.
Details about the property and bid package are located on the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) website at http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/aucdsclnk?sl=FTWOR713047001. Bids will be received continuously and posted to the site. The auction will tentatively close on Oct. 28, 2013.
