U.S. Forest Service to sell administrative site in Rollinsville, Colo.

BOULDER, Colo. – One 36 acre parcel and improvements for sale under U.S. Forest Service ownership in Rollinsville, Colo. is now up for auction.  The land and improvements were used by local Forest Service staff as an administrative work center. This property is bordered by the Arapaho National Forest with nearby access to Colo. Highway 119 and located minutes from Nederland, the Eldora Mountain Resort and Boulder, Colo. Wildlife, natural vegetation and hiking trails are abundant and the property boasts a driveway, well and level building sites.

 The Rollinsville work center parcel and improvements are no longer needed by the Boulder Ranger District for operational purposes and will be sold as one item. It is located in Rollinsville, Colo. at 835 CR 16 (Rollins Pass Road). Funds from the sale of this excess property will be used to fund facility maintenance and construction needs for local U.S. Forest Service staff.

Two open houses will be held on site for the public to view the offerings, Fri. Sept. 6, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sat. Sept. 14, 12-3 p.m.

Federal authority for the real estate sale comes from the Forest Service Facility Realignment and Enhancement Act of 2005.
