Five Weird Sisters host first Nederland Witches’ Ball
Celebrating Samhain during the full moon at Nederland’s Community Center

NEDERLAND, COLORADO (October 14, 2012): The first annual “Nederland Witches’ Ball” will take place on October 29 at the Nederland Community Center from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Featuring the band “The Mile Markers”, the celebration of the end of Summer will include food and retail booths, dancing, psychic readers, and a group Spiral Dance. The evening will close with an organized ritual to honor beloved friends and relatives who have died.

Five Weird Sisters Productions, LLC is organizing the event, and tickets are $10. Costumes are encouraged but not required, and people of all faiths are welcome to come and enjoy the celebration. The Community Center is at 200 Highway 72 in Nederland. For more information visit this Facebook page: .

The Ball is a celebration of the holiday Samhain, an ancient Gaelic harvest celebration. Samhain acknowledges the end of summer, the beginning of the dark season and a recognition of family and friends who had passed during the year, when many believe that the “veil between the worlds of the living and the dead” is the thinnest.
