STUART WILLIAMS NAMED STARTING PLACE KICKER FOR WYOMING

Stuart Williams, a 2010 Nederland High School graduate, was named the starting 2012 season Place Kicker for the University of Wyoming Cowboys Football Team. Wyoming plays in the NCAA Division one Mountain West Conference. Stu is currently a junior studying Architectural Engineering and a red-shirt Sophomore for the Football Team, playing in his 2nd year of eligibility. He went 6 for 6 in kicking Point after Touchdowns, PATs, last year, and so far he is perfect this season kicking 5 PATs and 4 Field Goals, his longest being 42 yards. In fact, after week 2 of this season, Stu received an Honorable Mention Place Kicker of the week pick by the NCAA College Football Performance Awards. Stu is also the back-up punter and kickoff specialist for the Cowboys again this season.  Stu is shown kicking a Field Goal to give Wyoming a 3-0 lead against the Texas Longhorns in Austin, Texas.
