After a fun day in the sun in the Nederland area, a group of visitors returned to the vehicle to find it was way low on gas. They decided that if they could roll it to a more level place, they may be able to coax a few more miles out of the gas tank. When they all got out of the car to push, it began to roll in the wrong direction and slid into the half-frozen creek at the Fisherman’s parking lot next to the teen center. As the car plunged forward, it hit one of the women, injuring her leg and she was transported by ambulance to Boulder Community Hospital. Acohol may have been a factor in the accident.
( Just a side note from The Mountain-Ear, remember to drive safe this Holiday Season! )
